They did eventually add flying, as a reward for a painfully unfun quest and rep grind achievement. Plus Falcon Watch doesn't have a Draenor equivalent as far as I know.
I do vaguely remember forum posts about that, mostly in relation to players hoping they weren't going to do the same thing in Legion, come to think of it.
Yeah, I read further down after I posted that and figured out she was in the BC part of the game. Still, if she made it that far, she should have had enough trial and error moments already to know better than to approach any place that isn't definitively her faction unless a quest tells her to go there.
