ok disclaimer - not in the game but by and large it seems a good basket of eggs - cool characters, chill players, mods who are active and present with plot/npcs BUT player plot went up this weekend that has me side eying hard

above anon is right. the game overall is amazing but this player plot has been a hassle, especially on plurk where the demon oc's mun has shot down pretty much every way to kill her because dnd demons are powerful.

I went to look this up upon reading this comment, and I'm surprised but you're right in that tabletop characters and player characters in MMOs aren't allowed. There are several characters of this type in game though, so it might depend on just how much story is built, and whether they cross over from just a tabletop character into being an actual OC with a developed original world.

I was told they're allowed on a case by case basis. Not sure why it's not in the rules yet.

as someone who was going to jump into this plot, that's why i'm avoiding it. we're not playing dnd, so using dnd logic to argue why no one else could touch her makes no sense. besides, aren't the adventure zone/other tabletop characters we've got running around also very powerful and of a high level? the demon oc's mun is making all of this much more complicated than it needs to be, and then keeps making comments on plurk about how no one is doing anything.

don't blame them, honestly. who wants to make their character hold the stupid ball so somebody else can play raid boss?

i want to give the demon mun the benefit of the doubt and say they probably just don't want one person wandering up and smacking her character down, but when you're playing panfandom, you're bound to bump up against some characters stronger than yours. blatant "look how big my balls are" antagonists who swing their weight around don't really work in dwrp because of that.

i'm less sympathetic if they've really been complaining on plurk about nobody indulging them. can we get some pastebins or snippets?
