i won't say i avoid dnd characters, but this is probably a big part of why i don't do fight scenes with them. a really loud subset loooooves to jerk off about how their badass wizard can rend reality and make things explode and SPELLS and CANTRIPS and blah blah blah my eyes start glazing over
