Idk about you but the people on my timeline aren't hoarders. They're just disgusting lazy slobs who have no respect for their space. If you can't take care of your home which you see all the time then you clearly can't take on any responsibility at all. You have failed at one of the most basic tasks.
Actual hoarding is a serious issue based on a mental link between security and physical items. You can get tidy hoarders. Slobs are just disgusting, lazy and need a shower.
i've met people online and offline who are the type to just throw a t-shirt over a spill and then "forget" about it for weeks even if they have to walk around it every day.
