i don't know about jenna, but pumpkin's loki IS shit. that's not really grudge so much as objective truth, though it's not like she's the only shitty loki player out there. she's just really, really dumb and gossipy on top of that.
the bigger problem is it speaks to a total lack of standards on the app team's side. there have been quite a few people getting in that had me raising eyebrows, mainly because i know they can't write for beans. slackening app standards is the first stage of game decay and it's already setting in tbh.

i didn't mean this app round, though i'm sure it'll happen, but yes you actually can reject shitty players from apping. that's the whole point of an app round, that's the whole point of maintaining quality control and WRITING an app. to show you can play that character with reasonable competency.
seriously, look at any game that's died a slow miserable death in the past two years (as in not wank, unexpected closure, etc.) and it almost always started with app trouble. it's a pretty good indicator of game health, and when standards are bad, the game is suffering.
anyone can submit an app, dumbass. that doesn't mean they're accepted. not to mention, it doesn't sound like either of these idiots are stormy or ken tier so i don't see why they'd be pre-banned from apping in the first place.
it's also subjective. remember the app rubric for coa? remember how strict some games were with their demanded thesis for apps? and all those games still had shitty, ooc versions of characters, because apps are not as effective as people want them to be. the shittiest player can shit out an app. the best player can have trouble writing an app. and apps don't guarantee that people will stick to what they cobbled together to get in a game. the app process as a whole is glitched, but this is what we have for the medium we're on and that's just how it goes.
you're welcome to make your own app rules for your own game, but this is what people are used to and you're always going to vary in quality, even with the same processes.
this i don't disagree with, and unfortunately i don't think there's any way around that other than checking samples closely and sniffing around if you suspect something. but otherwise, yeah, shitty writers can and still do sneak in.
