As someone who loved and rped from SPN for a long time, the two biggest flaws imo are that it can't remember its own continuity, and that it somehow wastes any amount of potential a plot could have. Both of those things are so frustrating to me; the former from an rper standpoint (having to constantly figure out how to explain away every contradiction and retcon) and the latter from a fan standpoint (being so hype for a plot that could go so many ways but instead takes the most boring route possible.)

i tried watching it again this season after leaving around...season 7? and it was like no one's had any character development, it's sad.
