you complain about other people living under rocks but i seriously think you need to get outside and touch grass if you're this assravaged over someone not knowing who some shitty top 40 artist was
honestly? i think it depends on where you are and what radio station that wherever it is happens to be on. some play oldies/classic rock. i know my local grocery store plays a mellower top hits station. if you don't actually listen to the radio yourself or anything, it's easy to just not hear what other people might think is saturated. i stopped listening to radio music about eight/ten years ago. i got bored of hearing the same twenty songs peppered liberally through other frequent music. i doubt people go to a grocery store to stand in the frozen food aisle and have a deep meaningful connection with music while debating over which peas to get.
we play a top 40 station at my job and i listened to his stuff and none of it sounds familiar. we get a ton of taylor swift and ariana grande and justin timberlake on ours. if i have to hear superman or shake it off or dangerous woman one more time i'm gonna shoot myself, but avicii's stuff just doesn't get any airtime around here.
