wait what? are you seriously implying someone needs to play from a canon to like it/know enough about it to bring it up on the internet?

the series i originally brought up literally runs in wsj, it's not exactly a mystery which demographic this is being peddled to

which is fine and saves everybody time, but the explanation conflated shounen with powerlevel archetypes so it was kind of a given that somebody would eventually say "that's not what shounen is"
