holy SHIT i hate people like this. animals are not stuffed toys who meow and cuddle with you for support. wanna improve your mental health? how about you get your living situation stable first, the thing causing you stress in the first place, and then worry about adopting an animal.
That is absolutely infuriating. Animals are living, feeling things that depend on their owners for everything, and if you're not in a place to support one (especially when you know you're not) then you shouldn't get one. What you want is not more important than what's best for a creature that depends on you.
