related topic: this is also what bugs me about people that play steve rogers as being mystified over a microwave or not knowing how anything technical works. you got a bit of leeway during the first avengers movie and steve trying to parse stark speak on the ship, but he's been awake and out of the ice long enough to have figured out how to use a phone or dvd player and to have a sense of humor over the era he came from. super tired of steves that stare blankly at tech or act like they're idiots.
thor's from an advanced race of aliens. he has space travel under his belt. he's just his own level of drax in that some things that are 'human' go over his head and his humor is weird. thor isn't human. he's going to have a weird sense of humor/reactions with other races. gamora isn't stupid, but she'll yell because she's wearing headphones and hasn't before and doesn't know not to. a joke for the sake of a joke =/= that person is stupid.
