I watched an episode of a pink and frilly magical girl show aimed squarely at 8 year olds during the second quarter and that was more exciting than anything that happened during the super bowl.

and lmao at that boring halftime show. Maroon 5 played like they knew they were the NFL's twelfth pick.

Holy shit. During the first quarter, a friend of mine invited me to play a game online. Figuring out nothing out of the ordinary was happening, I was getting fed up with the ads everywhere, and the Patriots were playing yet again against another team with a terrible game, I accepted. Lost track of time as we went on quests and adventures.

By the time I checked back on google the current score and news, nobody had even scored on the third quarter, the ads sucked ass (with their version of 'We're Sorry'), and the halftime show turned out to have been a massive a shitshow. And the result ended up being completely expected.

I ended up having loads more fun messing around in an MMO with my friend than watching the Superbowl. My dad always told me superbowls were always disappointing, but turns out this was the least watched superbowl in ten years. Gives you a feel of the state the NFL is right now.

nah this one was especially bad. the game was entirely deadlocked until the 4th quarter, aka the endgame, and the half time show was just maroon 5 playing one minute snippets of their best hits with some boring rap guests. before the game there were a few musicians who were offered the show spot but refused because of NFL blacklisting Colin Kaepernick.

the one possible exciting moment would have been sweet victory getting played, which a lot of people petitioned to honor the passing of spongebob's creator. instead they played a five second clip of squidward introducing travis scott, which is cool but basically nothing because maroon 5 probably didn't want their spotlight taken up.

It's happened multiple times in my city alone. Back when our basketball team made the playoffs they were literally running "Please don't destroy your neighborhood" commercials.
