On one hand its nice to see a movie that doesn't have generic disney princess face syndrome

On the other hand I am so burnt out on cg movies I miss good traditional animation so much

+1 this seems like the kind of movie i would have loved before i got burned out on cgi. i might give it a shot anyway, though - i have some friends who want to see it and i miss doing movie streams with them

I thought they were poking fun at people who said things like that for one of the other relatively recent Disney movies. I remember it being a thing on rpa (Raya maybe?)

encanto was a decent movie but not sure why people are rushing to pick the characters up now. they were pretty one note all around except for bruno and... the protagonist. whose name already escapes me, it was a fun watch for an hour or two but not really that memorable imo.

there's always some anons around who like to pretend they're above it all and they just make shit up about people ignoring female characters or poc to sound smug, even if they're just plain wrong. like the anon who said nobody played the woman from suicide squad, even though i saw a bunch of her on bakerstreet when the movie dropped, or the anon trying to say nobody cared about the girls from arcane even though they're also all over bakerstreet. the encanto anon was dumb because people tried explaining to them that it was because the new covid variant ramped up and people weren't going to the theaters, and of course encanto blew up once it actually hit disney plus, so they just looked like a moron.
