plus like others pointed out, there are options for that besides blocking. muting is a function on both plurk, twitter, and (i think) tumblr.

muting on twitter isn't really effective, twitter frequently shows things you block or mute because it doesn't really function properly. but also: if you want to block something online, you should. why hold yourself hostage to reading and interacting with people you don't feel like reading or interacting with?

Maybe! It could also be an ingrained reaction after a long time, and not even that serious. Some rpers, myself and my friend included, have been around so long that we default into certain reactions to avoid souring our own experiences.

I say post too much but that's also probably not right, because post too much can mean either 10 times a day or once a month depending on the person. I feel if you've gotten into the habit of it you just don't really think about it when you do something.

Either way, my point is that blocking someone because you don't care for something they do isn't that strange. I think people can curate their experience however they want, and that it shouldn't be taken personally unless you have been long time friends with them.
