the vast majority of the community never even hears about wankers.

that's literally the mods' job if someone is misusing powers or is doing things they didn't mention in the app

this isn't deets this is just players once again blaming mods for not letting them get around stated rules

I know what happened with that and it was because the player wanted to use Anduin's powers to bring someone back from the dead, which obviously wouldn't be possible in a game where death and resurrection only happens because of the powers that be. I don't think there are many games that would allow a player to just bring someone back from the dead without stepping in.

i found out today that apparently we're not supposed to heavily use native NPCs when i've had at least two threads with like, entire fleshed out NPC characters shared between me and the other player lmao. the mods aren't reading the whole game, that would be impossible.

big plots being nitpicked, i get the frustration for, but "can i fly into the sinkhole" is just building your own cage

was fellden really liz? i don't recall her being in game, though i was only in it for a couple months before it blew up

if a player apps in with a character who has the power of resurrection listed on their app the appropriate time for the mods to say "you can do anything except resurrect fully dead characters" is when they approve the app

that's their responsibility as mods to communicate and state clearly

if they don't do that and instead approve the power of resurrection, then when resurrection is being used in game come in to say no no stop, you can't do that, retcon it or cancel the whole plot, that is bad modding

the only anomaly is that it was an npc and not someone's special perfect angel warrior of light, but if there were ever a non-wol character in the game someone would get hung up on as a manpain messiah, it's that one

anon there's a difference between "this character can potentially do this thing" and "I'm going to use this power to break the game setting". setting breaking powers are specifically against the rules.

additionally mods can step in whenever they want, it's their game. they get to decide when something is crossing a line, not the player trying to break the rules of the game they've apped into.

a wanker needs to show they have changed, and no this does not mean they are entitled to second chances to 'show they've changed'. If no one you've harmed in the past wants to deal with you again, you need to go elsewhere and prove you can do better. whether that's bakerstreet or a new game or just taking a break from rp, you cannot force people to 'forgive' you and play with you again.

And no, this doesn't mean lying, deceiving and hiding things like gsai does. That's fucking disrespectful and will only show you've learned nothing. 'People will be upset if they know I am involved with X, so I will hide it' just means you're looking down on others.

What you need is an honest effort, with your name attached, without harming or disrespecting anyone. Do not force people to interact with you. Yes it might suck and people will be wary, but you need to actually own up to your shit and admit you did wrong. No one is entitled to forgiveness, so accept that.

If you can't absorb that last portion, you're screwed from the get go and not just in RP.

you're a bit late to weigh in on how shit you think the idea of sharing deets is, anon

step 1: identify what it is about your behavior that puts people off. be honest with yourself. if you think something is overblown or wrong, look at the root of the problem. for example, if people hate you because you were mean to someone, either stop being mean to people, or look at what you did to give that impression. do not make excuses for yourself.

step 2: stop doing the things that make people dislike you. this may not be an overnight change. you may need to step away from this hobby, or even invest in therapy. take your time. do not rush it.

step 3: once you think you've figured some stuff out, take a break. you may think this isn't necessary, especially if you've stepped away during step 2, but it is. you need some distance, and people need some distance from you. work on some crafts, a video game, take a class on skillshare, whatever. give it a couple weeks.

step 4: if you are still interested, you may ease back into dwrp. do not change your name. do not try and engage in any kind of apology tour performance, as this will just look like you want attention. keep your head down. don't try to be a celebrity. say sorry to individuals you know you've hurt if you still have contact with them, but otherwise, just chill out, and don't do the stuff that people don't like anymore. accept that some people will never forgive you and would prefer to maintain no contact forever and get over it. there are a lot of people in dwrp and if you are not a big asshole to them all then you will find plenty of people willing to tag you.

step 5: if you relapse, just leave. you are not entitled to this space.
