Nah, pawning shit won't get very much money.

What she needs is to work more hours or try to negotiate a higher rate of pay. If this is a constant problem every month, then the problem is cash flow and the solution is "either work for more money per hour, or work more hours."

It's certainly easier if you already have resources like a car and a job, but if you're sitting at home doing nothing then you can walk out that door and get a job today. It's going to be a shitty job you will hate, but if you need money then you do what you gotta do.

Job hunting for a good job takes time, which is why you start now. It might take a few months (or years), but you need to be actively working for it to get that good job. The longer you put it off, the longer you have to work those shitty jobs to make ends meet.
