yeah but it's usually played off as a joke. the only times it's taken halfway seriously are when it's lala4lala (ex: playing matchmaker in the arr weaver quests) or when it's unrequited (ex: lamitt. sorry ardbert never noticed you girl, maybe you'll get some good dick in the next life)

tbqh every race gets the same treatment when it comes to romance or even implied romance. namely it being made into joke, unrequited, or taken seriously. romance is a weird topic in ff14.

see: the war questline, everything about Magnai, the blacksmith questline, one studium quest line has WoL officiate an marriage and tbh it’s done in a very comedic way imo

so it’s not something that I feel like can be a blanket statement as “only X race gets this kind of treatment in the romance department”
