i'm starting to think the same thing and it's making me sad. it's all either festering garbage, flakes, or flaky garbage.

unfortunately you can find them on any facebook page about star trek. discovery isn't perfect (because none of them are!) but they will MAKE SURE to let you know it sucks because it made star trek 'woke'.

:( as someone who was more or less raised by one, it's very disappointing. i love him, but it's very clear that star trek is his undiagnosed mental health hyperfixation. a bad marriage and an inability to make and keep lasting friendships has driven him into dark political spaces online, i think. i don't personally love star trek, but i like to let him talk about trivia so he has an outlet for all that excitement. it's really sad, i know there's a good person inside of him, but i can't do much for him outside of that.

That's not the problem. We've all done or said something that accidentally offended someone at some point in our lives. It happens. Apologize, understand why it was offensive, and move on. Most people are reasonable enough to understand that the intent wasn't to offend and more than likely you'll be forgiven so long as it was a genuine one-off honest mistake.

That's not what Marta did and she fucking knows it, by her own admission. She's a repeat ban-evader who spouts whatever offensive, homophobic shit pops into her head at any given moment and only 'apologized' when she was facing the possibility of actual consequences for her actions.
