Asexual folks are real people who do in fact have relationships and sex. Trying to police the experiences of other aces is dull, off-putting, and way beneath us as a community.

And don't even try to come with the "it's not about people's experiences, it's about the character." - 1) canonically ace doesn't mean "canonically will never have sex," 2) people are always going to inject their own experience into their writing. Denying their portrayal of a marginalized identity is to potentially deny their lived experience. Because no, you ghouls, you don't have the right to demand anyone disclose whether or not they are writing from their own experience.

Your opinion isn't "unpopular," it's offensive and infantalizing to the ace community. If you're a member of the community yourself, no, that does not entitle you to pass judgment on other experiences that differ from yours.
