this is it. way too many people in dwrp are relentlessly negative and carry on and on and on about their mental problems and physical health and how they're too broke to do anything and all of their struggles forever. it's a problem on many parts of the internet that no one has a sense of privacy anymore, but it's especially bad here. no one needs to know that you had a bad bowel movement or that your mom yelled at you again.

She did it in Milk's plurk and Milk's plurk is gone. Every time Milk was shitty she'd be there agreeing. I don't know about Folk, but I remember Deer, when Milk was shitting on the mods when it closed and how she didn't like the direction the game went and Emma was there patting Milk's butt and agreeing with all of it.

You can say Emma is stupid and she was just agreeing with her friend because she is the nicest person alive or whatever, but she was always the first to show her ass in these plurks and agree with everything that was being said.

i just tend to have trouble keeping in touch with people if we're not doing an activity together. personally, i'm like this with irl friends, too -- i'll go long periods without talking to them very much, and then we'll sign up for rec volleyball together and just pick up where we left off.

idk i think framing it as a "fun dispenser" scenario is unkind to both yourself and to the other person. situational friendships are pretty common, especially in hobby spaces. i would guess that they were just having fun with you in the hobby you share, not maliciously pretending to be a fake friend so they could get those sweet sweet tags.

Emma and Cee have been the biggest enablers of Milk every step of the way, they were both always there agreeing and goading things on by telling Milk what they wanted to hear since Deerington. They've both helped mod games for Milk too. They were both still being yes men when Milk deleted. When Milk makes a new plurk they'll be right back to it.

For real. The whole clique was always kissing Milk's ass. They might have finally accepted Milk is an asshole, but that doesn't erase the enabling and the constant reassurance Milk was right every step of the way. They participated in it and would get mad in Milk's behalf. All of them are assholes.

i have never seen anyone talk about it in the states, but shang-chi had some overseas detractors who didn't like that marvel cast 'ugly' asians to star. simu liu and awkwafina are considered to be too "dark" skinned and small eyed to be attractive. compare them to chinese stars in current dramas/movies in china and you'll see what i mean, nearly all of them are extremely pale.

It’s also common for neurodivergent people to be unable to focus their social energy enough to keep up with large amounts of friends. it doesn't mean you’re viewed as less, just the current point in time means their energy is focused more immediately elsewhere.

I have friends I run with that i generally only see often during warm months, and they’re still my friends even if we go months without talking.
