People in this game are so pants on head stupid about this fucking meme. They act like it's the most important event to happen all year.

It's supposed to be SIX pictures but people start preparing almost a month in advance, pre-planning on plurk to the extent they might as well have already written their damn threads, and some players are talking about how they're going to post more than two dozen pictures, because their personal blorbo is just that important, I guess.

The whole damn game needs to learn to follow the rules, how to edit, and how to exercise some god damn moderation. It's a cute silly pictures misfire meme, not the fucking holy grail.

It is Duplicity and most of them will never play out the threads they're whining. The person this started about, Yumi, made plans for the memshare and never hit those up either. They don't rp, they talk about rp. They're whining about this shit is wanting to be popular without doing anything.

got a namedrop thread with half the world back in the days of the seasonal acj wank meme, largely for breathing. as in, genuinely someone was putting down the name of pretty much every player in the game, so ig i made the cut, but nothing was really said. got mentioned by name, but technically not namedropped, as one of the people randomly suspected of being a cdc mod (i wasn't, had just joined at the time and my character wasn't prominent, so no idea what that was about).

can't say i learned anythimg from the experience or that others should. it's a gossip site, where you can never tell if you're dealing with one person or a hundred. if the feedback you get resonates with your honest analysis of your own behavior, apply it and try to improve. if not, ignore.

i'm convinced the only reason they apped into the mcu cast was to try and get some of the perceived popularity of the cast without having to do any of the work - and now they're having to come to terms with the fact that that's not how it works.

It's a dick move too considering it's a capped cast.

as someone who isn't in the game, could someone like. explain what this meme actually even is (or drop a link, that works too) so there's a bit more context for what the fuss is about

it makes sense to prep OOC, it's fair to ask another player if you could use their character on their phone's gallery of accidental nudes so you don't step on any toes

it's misfired photos sent between characters ICly but instead of describing the pictures everyone is encouraged to find actual photos to use

it usually means lots of awkward selfies of actors behind the scenes or from their social media being used for sexting
