I was namedropped once for playing a character correctly. The guy was an asshole in canon, so I played him like an asshole. Someone had issue with that. I don't think that person even know the canon. Not justified I'd say, but it did make me stop playing said character. Since then he has gone through development in-canon and is less of an asshole. But I'm still kinda burned by it.

it’s really a shame how star wars has become a cultural battleground and if a show is not a multi billion successful hit then the adult infant crew starts screaming about it being a failure because woke. some of the stuff they’ve done makes me want to see where they’re going.

mandalorian had so much potential man. then it turned into a cameofest in s2 and forgot the reason it was so loved. still the most popular star wars show by far but the writing got so bad.

yeah, unfortunately the main plot of the show got kind of cringe and stupid. it started to feel to me like the writers were actually invested in the senate and empire remnants stuff, but disney was breathing down their necks about boba fett and characters who look like boba fett because toy sales, and it resulted in a disjointed mess where half the show was political suspense and the other half was an 80s fantasy movie

sounds like you attract performative femmeshippers. the ones i know shit on male characters and body shame real men because they think it gives them more ~bi/lesbian cred~ or something. some are married to cis dudes by their own admission and i feel bad for their husbands, whose bodies they apparently find repulsive.

early mcu you're valid and correct, but the movies and shows since endgame have been much better in female representation with a wider variety of personalities beyond 'action chick.' to the point that fanboys vehemently accuse it of being the m-she-u now. black widow, wandavision, wakanda forever, the marvels, hawkeye, she-hulk, ms marvel, the upcoming agatha show and thunderbolts, all feature female-centric stories and rosters.
unfortunately people mostly continue rping the same boring hunky dudes.
