tbh almost every single person i've seen who has been the most "DOWN WITH AI ART! BURN, BURN!" has been a mediocre/shitty artist who somehow thinks that ai art is the reason that no one wants to pay money to commission them instead of the fact that their art kind of sucks

the genuinely good artists i know don't seem to care much about it because they're still getting plenty of commissions and sales

you got to admit that some of the ai art out there are very nice to look at.

i haven't seen a single example that wasn't bad in some way, tbqh

it's basically always the same homogenous crap with inconsistent (or downright wtf) lighting/anatomy/details, but i understand why someone who looks at two different black shoes and thinks "exactly the same, it's a black shoe" would not pick up on any of that
