me too. i'm a nobody and so is the character i wanted to app so i won't bother trying. i get why they're doing it but it's still a disappointment

the mods mention you can be engaged on the tdm and that could be a possible way get an invite but like ???? even then.. that is hoping the person is nice enough to do so and it feels awkward to just pop up in their dms going "HEY WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO GIVE ME AN INVITE?" IMO. like please 😭 this is going to be so discouraging for players who don't know anybody. they could have just raised the player cap without making it invite only and that would have solved the whole fucking issue, i feel like

That's even assuming anyone currently in game is going to bother tagging you on the tdm in the first place since they're probably overloaded with game tags, and if they're going to be tagging out to anyone, it'll be their friends or canonmates or whatever

i feel like this is a weird take. my thought is that you play in the test drive and if you impress someone enough, they’ll extend you a invite because they would like to keep playing with you.

that's the thought the mods are going for. this might even happen for some people, though most players will just invite their friends. but that's a positive aspect of invite systems, you know everyone who gets invited in, so it's like a vetting system.

this was my plan as a current player ngl because i don't really have anyone in mind to invite at the moment, so I was gonna extend it to whoever seems fun for me to tag in the tdm

+1, i don't currently have any friends that want to app in, so i plan to just extend my invite to whoever i have fun tagging on the tdm.

yeah ngl i'm disappointed because i'd been considering tossing a character onto the next tdm but right now the muse i'm feeling the most is from an incredibly obscure canon so the chances of me getting an invite are pretty much zilch and i don't know anyone in the game well enough to feel comfortable asking for an invite from one of them.

fwiw if youre fun to tag and responsive, obscurity rarely matters. just in general.

but if you go in with a negative mindset and bad vibes then yeah lol
