my first experience with her was her mental break down because my character said 'shit' and i had a mod of the sandbox ask me to reword it as its triggering to the player. I said no, it's canon, also it's 'shit'?? The next day a huge post went up explaining that curses of any kind were to be considered as bad as TWs like animal abuse, spiders, SA and so on. AKA: it was put on the trigger list of things you did not talk about.

HOW is someone that sensitive about curse words? I haven't seen her in a game in a while but when I do see her, I make sure my character swears like a sailor to assure she will never tag me.

as someone who was cursed out and basically surrounded by kid unfriendly stuff including experiencing abuse you would definitely recognize as commonly triggering and "that bad," yes, it's a real trigger.

some triggers sound stupid. people can't help what triggers them. I used to censor curse words when I could edit stuff on other sites, but I don't control other people or tell them what to do. I have my own beliefs and have my own aversions, but I just have to protect my own self. it does sound like a bit much to go to the mods, but we don't know what this person went through.

I do not wrap myself up in cotton, I can see other people cursing and I dislike it, but to each their own.

I have no access to therapy because of the country I live in. not every English speaker is American or British.

disliking something is not a trigger. you didn't have a visceral reaction the way one would to trauma, you just don't like it, which is not a trigger response, so stop using the word wrong

i get where you're coming from that triggers and phobias are irrational and valid irrespective of how 'small' they might seem to someone who is not susceptible to them. i've got a phobia many people think is utterly stupid too. but that's not the problem here. the problem is people who make their individual management of their condition into a collective burden. like it or not, there are certain behaviors and circumstances we can expect to confront on average, and we all have to do our best to discipline, educate or medicate ourselves to reach a point where we can withstand them enough to function in society.
