One of the underrated skills of a good character designer is knowing when to stop designing the character, instead of piling on more and more and more and fucking more as if you've got an allergy to block color that can only be cured by monocles and scene hair. This is particularly true in animation.

Vivzie is not a good character designer and Alastor is a goddam mess who looks about as convincingly menacing as an Equestria Girl.

I thought Charlie was pretty cute in the pilot. What happened?

Rob Liefeld's character designs are more baffling than anything we'd find in a gacha roster tbh

Literally anything from any part of JJBA but a special shout-out to the blinding cyan and yellow dinosaur with stripes that spell "DIO"

+1 i don't care how good this show is, i literally can't with the character designs.

i think the character looks in JJBA make more sense when you know the author is a big fan of modern and avant garde fashion. not saying you have to like them, just that they were at least designed with intentionality

same all the terms for their canons are on my dwtools hide list, i hate them. the writing could be the greatest thing tailor made to my interest and i still wouldn't ever watch it. visually revolting.

Neuvilette Genshin. I absolutely just do not get the appeal of this squinty sad dad in neon curtain tassels. His coat looks like it was explicitly designed to look awesome primarily when billowing dramatically and as such looks like total total ass all the rest of the time. I legit thought he had big baggy neon pantaloons on first time I saw him. Nope! Normal pants! That's just his Drama Coat being dramatic.

Who signed off on this hot mess, God damn. I think they just wanted him to look like a tropical fish when he was swimming (and, again, like total total ass all the rest of the time).

Genshin/HSR in general tbh. I don't know how you guys can tell any of these characters apart. They all blend into each other so badly that even though I recognize this character's name I am completely incapable of conjuring what he looks like in my mind.
