i'm also a cis bi white woman. i don't believe in minimizing someone's experience, particularly when they never said that biphobic responses from the lgbt community are the same or on equal scale to systemic oppression from straight communities. they just said in their personal experience, they've so far experienced the worst biphobic reactions from lgbt members. what are you trying to say, that anon should shut up and not talk about it because their experience, which is relevant to the thread topic of pride month plurks, isn't on par with the killing and homelessness of lgbt people, which no one previously alluded to or brought up?

question to people in this thread (not you in particular):

when we talk about things like homelessness and violence in the lgbt community, what does the b stand for? are bi women not at risk of the same things as the other letters? one example given was being fired for going to a pride parade, would a bi woman be exempt from that? can bi women not be beaten up or killed for expressing interest in the same sex? why does being with someone of the opposite sex sometimes erase these threats that the lgBt community faces?
