possibly that including real sinners (as opposed to edgy cartoon ones) in her roster of tumblr sexymen might have made the concept of hell as r-rated disneyland where the punishment is just being there and now everyone just gets to indulge in their sexy, sexy vices forever or whatever's going on look kind of uncomfortable actually! because there are some people who absolutely should not be permitted to do that and also get portrayed as plucky underdogs fighting the cishet power who we'd all be cool with if we weren't, like, so uptight.

not here to defend Hazbin's honor or anything, but a gritty examination of a hypothetical sociopolitical structure in hell with a cast entirely populated by nazis, child rapists, and cybertruck owners is a different conversation entirely and clearly not the driving force begind deviantart sparkledogs: the musical.

just has way more resemblance to those books than the good place, which doesn't have a "inspired by the xanth guy's other books" vibe at all but hazbin probably is a riff on incarnations' hell
