That was probably the right decision in this case. That said fleurmortelle massively reach with some of their deletes, and give reasoning that makes it clear they didn't read one or both memes. I've let it slide when it's happened to me so far because I'm pro-redundancy deleting, but I might bring it to the other mods if it keeps happening.

I’m curious if they make the calls on their own or if the other mods are involved. Tbh it’s kind of weird to rely on one person’s judgment, especially when they err on the side of deleting more times than not.

Considering the speed of the deletions I'd assume alone. The other mods do delete too, just not as much. My baseless assumption is that fleurmortelle was brought on because they're available to monitor BS more than the other mods can.

is it weird? people complained and bitched exhaustively for months, the mods got tired of hearing from it, they brought on somebody to quickly delete things to try and get people to shut up and stop whining at them.

i wish the mods hadn't started doing this just because the anons who were complaining were so annoying. they were told it would just end up causing different problems but their constant squealing paid off for them, and now they get to continue to not do any tags with fewer memes, while people who actually are doing tags sometimes get their threads randomly deleted.

yeah at this point i'm just not bothering to tag into any memes that aren't the big popular ones because i don't want to risk starting a thread with someone only to have it get deleted because someone complained that the meme was too similar to another one that was posted.

this is what's happening, but people who have no life and refresh bakerstreet 500 times a day will die irl if they see more shipping memes than they would personally prefer and will have a poopy diaper baby tantrum about it

i genuinely don't understand what those people's complaint even is. when i see a meme that doesn't personally interest me (and there are a lot of those because i find the majority of shipping memes rather boring), i just scroll past them and look for something i want to play in. their existence isn't hurting me in any way.

it's entitlement. these are the people that only want the memes that are relevant to them on a comm they've licked so they think it's theirs. the longer people are on this site, the more they feel entitled to certain things being certain ways and they forget it's an open, public comm for everyone. you're gonna see shit on there you don't like/doesn't apply to you. just like people are going to throw up characters/fandoms you don't like/don't apply to you.

i wish more people would scroll on and stop acting like they're being repressed or emotionally violated by being told to do so.

I don't care about memes I don't want to play in, but having the same meme with a different picture 5 times in a row is just stupid. And I hate stupidity.

It's not weird after demands that there should be more mods who are around when the others aren't. So clearly people wanted mods to make decisions on their own.

The real bias is that everyone wants the mods to cater to their specific needs depending on whether they like a meme or not, and thinking their opinions are the most important and the most valid.
