there's a reason they weren't dressed for it. it might not have been a conscious decision to go out and end their life, but their mental health had been getting so bad, there's more reason to believe it was an intentional accident as opposed to not.

like i said in another comment, it was less that he was lured out or intentionally killed by second, but she did such a number on him and left him so broken, that his death was likely caused because he was incapable of taking care of himself properly and wasn't that interested in trying.
