sure, you can play from any canon and opt out of playing from any character in those canons, even if they aren't MPs

it's real stupid to play from something and want to avoid the main character though, and it clearly bothers people because they cannot stop complaining about it, so why not just play from something you like

disagree if the main character is an OC and the other characters are fully fleshed-out and interesting in their own right. there's tons of rp stuff you can do with the many MP-containing games that have nothing to do with that MP. it's weird as well that you assume they don't like the canons because they don't want to rp with malleable protags, a relatively small part of some games (baldur's gate is a good example, where the MP literally does not have to exist at all)

ayrt has to be a tav player, right. the wording is almost identical to a similar comment made by a tav on rpa a couple posts ago

they're the only group I've seen consistently barge into these threads to kick up a fuss about how not wanting fuck their blorbo with your blorbo is ooc and a hate crime. i cant tell if its lack of self awareness because of babys first mp canon or if they just think tavs should be the exception
