what is the fucking point of having a text flirting meme go up the same day as TFLN

like three quarters of the starters on TFLN are flirting or propositioning for sex anyway

lots of meme spam today but this one was the most pointless

there should just be no memes within 12 hours of tfln. they always bomb because everyone is too busy tagging tfln to bother

not everyone plays on tfln. i don't. i'm busy with threads i started before and, yes, after. it's also friday, dummy. people are generally busy friday/saturday nights.

most of these always flop anyway

I understand why so many people go all-in on tfln (it's like junk food, also we skew "adult with job" age so not as much time for big logs/PSLs despite the desire to RP) but I hate that it's basically the town square of bakerstreet and you can't "meet" new players anywhere else if you're not in a game.

TFLN's quasi ic interactions are really annoying me lately though.

My personal experience is that people get a feel for if they actually want to try more substantial threads with your character through texting memes/TFLN. Once you're out there, you're more likely to get bites on memes like "body heat" and "insomnia" and smut picture prompt memes.

you don't need to get bites if you tag out

i wish i lived in the world where most people i tagged didn't flake out in a day or two if they even tag back at all

i wouldn't say it's you necessarily, but it could definitely be character choice

except it seems to happen once a fortnight that i run into someone that doesn't get bored and drop *all* of their threads on a given meme after a day or two.

i mean...if you're mostly playing on tfln, i found your problem

this was what i was going to say. i don't top level very often because i like to keep myself not overburdened, but when i do, the majority of my tag ins are from all the people i tagged out to over the rest of the memes (i also don't play in tfln). other text memes work better for me. and when i see a character i want to play, i reach out. i've never had an empty inbox since i've done this.
