i wanted to be tav4tav but the other tavs only wanted to tag origins, so i stopped playing my tav and played an origin, but ended up dropping them too because another origin player i met couldn't stop complaining about being tagged by icky tavs and even complained about mine, not knowing it was me, even though i'd only tagged them on a text thread with nothing shippy. because i don't ship them. tavs who ignored my tav were tagging me all of a sudden, too. it just put a bad taste in my mouth.

the bg3 fandom here is crap. everyone is really judgmental and petty and gatekeepy about the origin characters. it's the only fandom i've seen that's actually miles better on twitter and tumblr.

wow, i'm sorry to hear that anon. i'm a companion player and i find it surprising that people would complain about tavs like that. if they don't want to be tagged by any of them, they should put that in their permissions.

these replies are so odd. constant threads on wankgate about avoiding tavs like the plague then acting shocked that someone would.. complain about tavs?

yeah, i'm pretty surprised that people would complain about tavs tagging them when they could easily put it in their prefs, and i've seen people do just that. is that really odd?

it is odd because it's so rare to see people do that. most are not going to want to look unwelcoming, they're just going to "curate their experience" by choosing who to reply to, and this is how most people in this hobby are?

put on your big kid pants and deal with it. ppl in this hobby will do anything to avoid communicating and then wonder why it's dying. i dont do bg3 but I would 500% rather have someone straight up say they don't want to thread with tavs/wardens/wol/ocs/etc.

sorry you had that experience, nonny! i have yet to see a tav that didn't tag other tavs, and my experience here has been great. where have you been tagging around?
