I haven't tagged the event bc I feel a little weird about, unless i'm misunderstanding, a player plot being so tied to endgame. I don't have anything against this player or character at all and I know there's other stuff to do in this plot that's not explicitly tied to them but I'm just like...IDK.

I don't have any CR with the character so it feels super weird to me too. I would have thought endgame would be something the mods thought up, not something specifically tied to a character.

Like you said I know there are other things to do, but it just rubs me the wrong way. What an odd choice.

You're right, it is weird that the player plot that was pkanned before the endgame announcement, is happening completely separately from the event log, and is happening two months before the game ends is so heavily tied to the endgame.

Yes, it's 100% completely separate and entirely unrelated. Absolutely. Maybe the event was planned before the endgame announcement, but the mods are using it as part of the endgame plot now. It's weird and incredibly lazy, and it really turns me off to the endgame plot overall.

da but i don't even see what there is to be upset over. it sounds like a player had been planning a player plot for a while and the mods decided to work it into the endgame because it tied in thematically. i think that's kind of cool honestly, and i wish more mods would be willing to do stuff like that with player plots.

i think there's a difference between tying player plots into regular events and tying them into endgame, personally. it can be hard to care about player plots if your character doesn't know the character or canon the plot is from or if you as a player don't know or dislike the canon in question. this plot is great for fans of the canon but feels a little less great as a ribbon on the end of a game.

speaking as a former player, maybe you whiners should've engaged with the game instead of letting it stagnate to the point of endgame. at least this players is making a damn effort to participate.

idek what you're complaining about. I had a quick look at the endgame log out of curiosity and i couldn't even FIND the player plot or a mention of the character in question in the prompts. the only thing I saw about it was a character top-level mentioning it was the player plot

maybe i missed it, but i don't see how you need to know or care about this character/canon to participate in the endgame log

Again, i can see that i maybe misunderstood how heavily it tied in. From how big it seems I thought it was more deeply related than it is.

I don't even know why you're mad? I just feel weird tagging into a game event that's based around a player plot.
