i've been namedropped here for actually doing something. (not worth namedropping imo but at least i had actually performed an action to "provoke" it)

I mean this sincerely: don't check wankgate, then. most people in this hobby are going to agree with you, in the first place, and even those who have fun reading wg usually know better than to take it seriously.

there's no shame in realizing something isn't for you and not engaging with it anymore. and not only will you save yourself stress, but you can avoid this whiteknighty behavior that does not help the person you're defending. which it never does, this stuff only makes a difference by making things worse.
