Off topic but a comment down there reminded me, does anyone else feel like the players who ship with Tifa's characters get away with a lot more? Whether it's being flaky while holding a lot of important plot, or backseat modding. This has actually made me consider dropping more than the activity stuff.

how is nikolai holding so much plot? i don't understand why he's the defacto leader of the vt. i'm sick of seeing him leading all the metaplot and playing such a big role - there are other people here, too.

i was surprised they could apply for a plot coin this round considering i've never seen them finish a thread.

Yeah, Eppy getting to put Nikolai at the front of the faction, plus running the casino, makes it really hard to get involved because she's been consistently inactive since joining and so many important threads go really slow or get dropped entirely. She's also a terrible OOC communicator so sometimes stuff just exists in limbo for months.

Also Ianthe becoming a key figure - that player is more active but it does seem like Ianthe gets to do some really extreme and overpowered stuff that other characters aren't allowed to? Compared to how rigid some punishments and nerfs have been.

I don't actually dislike any of the mods but my characters were never really suited for close CR with Tifa's girls and I don't tongue her hole about her NPC, and it's made it so much harder to have my character get any political traction or mod cooperation on their plots.

unless you are one of Eppy's chosen few you can count on never getting any CR or OOC communication from her, better to accept that now

eppy is an rp gatekeeper. she'll easily cut off all communication with you ooc or otherwise if your character even remotely looks at hers in a way she doesn't like.

we can only assume this is true, because you will never actually learn why she cut you off. you just suddenly don't exist anymore

her nikoli is criminally bland and utterly unrecognizable as the character

I don't care if her characterisation is good. I do care that Nikolai's casino is the first business to introduce currency to the setting and my character would have a lot to say about that, and I do care that Nikolai has repeatedly spoken on behalf of the Void Touched without consulting everyone, but it's impossible to get traction on discussing that IC or OOC. Recently a canonmate of mine was interested in apping and I had to explain I might be dropping because the mods simply do not hold this one person to the same standard of availability and activity that they do everyone else who runs a business or gets important information from NPCs, and it's a weird roadblock in a game that is otherwise pretty good about enforcing people to be team players.
