the mods suddenly tacking on character consequences that they didn't at any time warn jade about is a terrible look, but a lot of the rest of this feels too petty to care about

saying that the town NPCs won't die and then suddenly deciding Wanda killed them and she needs to stand IC trial is pretty egregious and if jade had just posted that and some of the condescending DMs I think people would be more on her side

Wait, is that something she complained about? I was gonna tl;dr the big block of text but PC characters receiving consequences & standing trial for killing the town NPCs is an ongoing thing in game. Did... she think Wanda should be exempt for some reason?

The issue isn't that Wanda got consequences for killing NPCs, it's that the NPCs weren't supposed to die which was explicitly laid out between jade and the mods and the mods changed that on jade as a surprise

Well that makes more sense then, it does sounds like a real mod misstep. I was confused because frankly, killing and getting killed by NPCs and then having a trial about it is a normal thing in game and something people actively choose for character development or to get ic consequences to play out.

im not trying to play devils advocate, im just overwhelmed with the length of her jeremaiad here. i see her saying in the 2023-10-02 comment that wanda might tuck the townsfolk away somewhere safe, but the mods don't seem to respond to the safety piece of it, so im unsure if the mods actually committed to wanda not hurting anyone somewhere else.

either way, imo it's mediocre modding (if they missed it) or bad modding (if they acknowledged it somewhere but then reneged) -- but it also seems really dumb on her part to be like, wanda's gonna go crazy corrupted but oh no actually nothing bad will happen while this ridiculously superpowered witch is going insane in a horror event.

Jade asks about tucking the mods somewhere safe or if the mods want them to be in town. She says Wanda would move them because she knows they're important to the duchess.

The mods respond and say she can move them to a physical location out of town and that "honestly would be great"

I wish this bitch just put things chronologically because, no, I don't think she did, but the reveal seemed to be happening around end of November when she was having personal difficulties when the plot had gone down much earlier so I understand getting caught off guard and letting it go but then feeling like everything is piling on as the january + later stuff continues.

The plotting in sept/oct where Jade asks if Wanda can move the NPCs somewhere safe (The Oct-02 comment item 4, which the mods respond to and say it's fine):

The first time the mods let Jade know that Wanda had been responsible for NPC deaths is an IC post from the mod NPC in mid/late Nov

THEN the PMs from the mods who are like our bad we sprung NPC deaths on you! Also Zoya is mad at the duchess, let us give you some condescending tips on how to RP that seem to continue and spiral. I don't think Jade comes up smelling like roses and gets bogged down with stupid cast drama, but I don't think the mods look great when you lay it out in the order that it happened.

i do think tifa calling out how she's ending her cr with jade in the cr post is particularly funny and petty too, like they're both BEC at each other while the actual game drama is happening

i don't know why jade even apped into the game in the first place or why tifa didn't just reject her app. it could have solved so many problems from the looks of it.

maybe it's good actually to just not have people you have decades long drama with in your game.

so, yeah, revising to ESH. that was a shitty thing for the mods to do, but i still also think that jade wanting her "wandaween" to have no actual concrete negative impacts was dumb. the mods just should have not agreed to it, or if later things developed that made them change their minds, should have explicitly looped back with her.

The Quiet Place. Tony Stark threatened to blow up a prison Jessica Jones was working on. When the Jessica dropped due to the Kilgrave/Supergirl/Jessica wank, the prison was left to Wanda. Wanda destroyed it as part of her drop.
