James Earl Jones was a pioneer in his craft, especially as Black-American who had to overcome a speech impediment in his youth along with the soul crushing racism of Hollywood. He was a source of inspiration for many Black-American actors who grew up enjoying his works. So excuse the fuck out of me for mourning his passing.

people aren't always in the right headspace to think about death. why does having to click on a plurk to find out who died matter so much to you? it's two seconds of effort.

maybe i have a sick grandma, maybe someone i know is dealing with a terminal illness, maybe i just don't want to know who died or how. why is it so hard for people to put the info inside the plurk instead of outside?

The people itt... how the fuck do any of you survive being online? This isn't about r*pe or animal abuse or violence, it's natural death of a fucking celebrity. Your personal issues that make that triggering for you are not something everyone needs to take into consideration. The internet and certainly not someone's social media feed is here to hold your hand through the things that make you vulnerable to information that is otherwise unharful. This isn't even about it "being difficult" for someone to add a tw or hide information under a cut of sorts, you are actually doing yourselves a disservice by expecting others to be mindful about what might make you feel sad. Adversity is a part of life. Learn how to live with this type of shit, for your own sakes honestly.
