three times I read that as "I think people are too obsessed with cats" and wondered why that was an RP opinion.
wankgate seems to have a generally more reasonable ...uh, userbase than rpanons. I know they're usually the same people but I know several people that visit only rpanons but dont' go to a "vile hate comm".
it's something i picked up from the luceti threads, as, the rpanons thread is usually just a gathering for people with asses as hats, but the wankgate thread usually has its head out of its ass.

Some people think rules are rules. I think that should be encouraged rather than condemned. We are always complaining about people trying to get around the rules, about trying to get around premises, about trying to get around almost anything that can be attempted to avoid in a game.
So when someone comes in and goes, "well rules are rules and i respected that, but since you are talking about it here are my opinions" I for one think its a good perspective to have.
Personally I am not one of those people. While I believe rules are rules, I also believe in the power of complaining. Anyone who thinks complaining accomplishes nothing isn't doing it right, to me. I have been a mod before, and while those who accept the rules as the rules are great and should be encouraged, those who challenge rules (within reason) and force mods to think of things from new angles they may not have considered are ALSO performing a worthwhile service and should ALSO encouraged.

Yes. This. It's one thing when the PC is immature as fuck but when the mun is just as ridiculous it makes me feel skeevy to have anything to do with them. I actually don't have a problem with underage sex but I have it listed in my NO column specifically because of Dawn and Chika and Silver and people like them.
like i said, it's nothing more than a peeve so it's not really worth bothering with. i got my annoyance out here and that's all i really needed to do.

This is actually a good point. In fact, I'm starting to get a whiff of wankery here that makes me think Rys is involved. Not that people can't have legit concerns about the Dawn, but saying that Silver is so much better? It would have to be someone playing with Silver with some reason to hate on the Dawn.
