gamewide plots and events that inevitably fizzle out when the person running them doesn't release new info for weeks or months at a time and leaves anyone trying to get involved in limbo. when a plot takes almost a year to get going i stop caring tbh.

if it's not canon, you're not being trapped into playing anything. just play it ic and if they whine and fuss that you're being ooc, point out that their wannabe ship is neither canon nor anything you wanted to play out, which they're aware of. keep screenshots of all pms. give to mods if they make a big deal over it.

Oh, fuck you. People do not have to check with you OOC before replying and being IC. That's like posting with your character asking a question then bitching because people didn't check with you OOCly first before having their character answer it.

If you can't handle offers from healers to do what they're supposed to do, don't make posts about injuries.

Why does it feel like half the people who sign their character up for plot-intensive roles in an event almost immediately flake out?

Bonus points for coming back a week into the plot all "lol idk what's going on someone tell me what my character should be doing???"

Like, we get it, you only want to thread with like one or two people. People get like that sometimes. But that's what PSLs and memes are for, okay?

If you're only gonna play with a few people, do it on your own time. Don't get into a game and get people (especially your castmates) excited to play with your character! Don't even bother trying to plot things out with other people, because you're just going to tag them two or three times while racking up a 70 comment long thread with your favorite character or ship partner.

It's a waste of everyone's time.

so fucking sick of everyone being so pedantic these days in regards to ~what's absolute canon~ and what isn't

so and so is never EXPLICITLY SHOWN drinking alcohol in canon!!! despite the fact they're a hard broiled detective who smokes and hangs around bars all the time and is grizzled and has empty beer bottles strewn all over the brief glimpse we get into their apartment

uh

that's a very strong implication they drink alcohol if i ever saw one. if they seem like the type to booze it up they probably are especially when it doesn't clash with their personality.

(no this isn't an analogy for sexuality headcanons or smthn. i'm actually referring to a character's drinking habits here.)
