I do not fucking understand people who dump their OCs on memes with absolutely zero information about them, no hook, just a good ol' blank tag. Are they really expecting some random RPer to tag them with nothing more to go on then a generic PB icon and a shitty made-up name? Seriously?

as an OC player: pleeeeease put some kind of information either as a blurb in your tag or in your character's profile or as a post on their journal. when I'm looking for folks to tag I will skim right over you otherwise.

as an OC player who does put information into a background of the character, I appreciate the replies here saying they don't mind tagging OCs. it's a refreshing change up from the general asspain responses about hating OCs and being too self-inflated speshul snowflake to deign to tag them. like writing solely canon characters makes you god of the wankers and you have to preach it from the rooftops and hoard an army of fellow wankers agreeing with you.

sometimes i meet a player on a meme and we have a great thread and chat a bit via pm, but then they go totally silent out of the blue and i just wonder why

a lot of muns aren't here for ooc interaction after a single thread. some just want to rp and stick in their pretend escape universe. maybe chatting to them via pm is the mistake. just keep tagging with them rather than forcing ooc interaction beyond agreeing to keep threading. if you keep having good threads repeatedly, then suggest a psl etc.

a lot of meme players are voicetesting a certain character, or else playing ones that they wouldn't normally get a chance to post with. when they lose interest in the character or something else recaptures their attention, they stop logging into that journal and leave any ongoing threads or conversations with them hanging

Do you mean they stopped tagging back, or they stopped tagging back AND left an OOC convo hanging?

If it was only the first and it wasn't a goofy or low-effort thread, maybe they put off replying for when they were in the right "mood" for it and got distracted since then? Contacting them in some way might jog their memory. I like the above anon's idea of inviting them to thread with you on another meme.

Kind of specific to picture prompt memes ion general but: People that use the same exact pics for every single person they tag. Like just copy-pasting the same tag over and over until someone bites.

It really gets under my skin when I get a tag that is basically "Go away". Guess what, my character will actually go away! I'm not going to hound your surly antisocial character for any dreg of RP I can squeeze out.
