When people deliberately cliffhanger, waiting for others to ask them what happened.

"Omg I cant believe I just did that", "Wow I have the worst ship idea ever", "You wont believe what happened to me today".

Number one: its very arrogant to sit and wait until you have a full audience. Number two: the more you meander and avoid explaining, even after someone's asked you, the more it just irritates people and makes them hate you. If you're starting an "omg" plurk, you need to explain within the first minute or two. Please. Ffs.

Making a plurk account that's just for pimping out your icon posts and getting people to replurk them is overdoing it. Stick to icon promotion comms like the rest of them.

Not a pet peeve but (quite the opposite, in fact) but my plurk experience has been infinitely better since I installed that Chrome extension that allows you to mute every unread plurk on your timeline. Plurk was both a stressor and an annoyance to me before, but my timeline is much calmer without a million plurks I don't care about bouncing back however many times I mark all as read. It makes it a little easier to focus on the things I do care about.

For an actual peeve, despite being able to nuke notifs much easier than before I still wish I could unfriend/unfollow half my plurklist. But I can't, because they're all gamemates and a lot of our big OOC plotting happens on plurk. It's not there's anyone I especially dislike, it's just all too loud. I have less than 100 plurk friends and it's still way too many people for me. I wish having plurks for personal and RP was the norm, because while I enjoy playing with the people on my timeline, I can never find important shit through everyone's plurks full of work stories and pictures of cats. OR I wish plurk would introduce a tagging system so I could just filter out anything not game-relevant.

There's this person who keeps showing up in a friend's game a plurks to pester them about stuff concerning game b. The person doesn't play in game a, and has no issue completely derailing game a plurks to make them all about game b. They also don't seem to get the polite requests to stop doing this constantly that my friend gives them, so that's just fucking great.

My character does not give a shit about yours.
Why are you assuming my character is even straight/bi/gay. They've never expressed interest in that gender in Canon or in game.
Stop talking about how your character will impress mine and and be oh so amazing.
Stop saying your character is so great and can do everything just as good as everyone else in my Canon if not better.

i really hate how i feel like i can't bitch on my timeline. nearly everyone on there bitches already about their lives and depression and shitty situations and i'm so busy giving encouragement and assurance to them, that when i genuinely feel the need to vent or bitch about how shitty i feel or how crappy my situation gets, i feel like i can't.

i think it's because i don't want to be another whiney plurker. i also think it's due to recently noticing how most of my timeline seems to ignore me unless i'm patting their ass. guess i just want some buttpats myself every now and then.

people who complain constantly every single day. i get it if someone needs a place to vent and their life sucks or whatever, and they can post what they like, but i add people for roleplay purposes only. when they're doing nothing but posting at least 5 plurks a day whining about something or other, i completely lose interest and unfollow.

Like, say a friend does one of those Plurk memes and you participate in it. If you were in the same room together, it would be perfectly normal and accepted to ask they do yours too, right? But online? Oh no, that's a grab for attention.

people who replurk game stuff that has no relevance to anyone who isn't in the game, like plot/npc posts, mod announcements, etc. replurking test drives and announcements that reserves or apps are opening is one thing, because at least that has some interest for people who might be thinking about apping.

but the other stuff? no. cut it out. i'm not in your game, i don't want your game's mod things on my timeline.
