to be fair, if the thread is slow moving or i've been tagging a lot of other new people recently, if it's a new character that i'm threading with, i may honestly forget what they introduced themself as and just go with what you're using in the action text. especially if the thread is already some 30 comments long, i'm not going to go reread the whole damn thing just to make sure i'm calling bob "mister bob".
if your character canonically has a problem with being called by first name, just have them say something.
