the god post is shitty because it's an indirect way of clearing up something that *desperately needed* clarifying. the people in charge then were getting frustrated that people couldn't understand that zodion wasn't an island, but instead of being upfront about it or actually fixing things (like the map, the faq) they - like you said - figured out all sorts of creative ways to *not* talk about it. which, again, solved nothing. it's not fun if it's yet another way of poking fun at your playerbase for something that you could have easily cleared up if you'd done things properly.
i'm not missing the point? i'm saying that you're taking something that probably is not nearly as serious as you think it is and shitting all over it. how do you know the post was made by the mods out of frustration? why is it poking fun at the playerbase exactly? i do not feel offended by a god who writes things vertically — most people probably didn't even figure that out so really, no harm done. the entire purpose of my comment was to say i'm tired of the players' shitty attitude in taking whatever they can get their hands on, relevant or not, to try and say the mods are attacking them.
because the mods have *known* that this has been an issue for months now. that post happened some time around when that shikamaru mun made a plurk about how she only just realized it wasn't an island because a mod pm'd them back on a plot idea clarifying, and *everyone else freaked out about that revelation too.* the curernt mods made plurks about it, have pretty much implied it in that plurk that was pastebinned, so no i don't think this is reaching at all. true, they probably thought it was funny and a neat way of talking about it and might not have even realized how backhanded it looks, but when you put it all into context the whole point is that was clearly not the way to go.
i'm not shitting on the post specifically, anon, please don't get me wrong. it's the general attitude of the people that had been in charge at the time, and the ones in charge now, who would rather be indirect and address things on plurk/in a maybe-hidden message, than actually try and fix the problem by clarifying something where everyone can see. if they realized the map was an issue why not just change the map? why did it have to take this long?
