This is one reason I really like the AC system a few games have, where they reward people for tagging around to different characters. It actually makes it less attractive to huddle in a cast herd and only tag what you're linked to.

The only one I know of is The Games and our AC is every few months. It's a really different system and it's innovative and cool.

Asgard has a power level up system that includes tagging. It also makes sense ICly, since you're supossed to make the world better with the power of friendship! (ok it sounds better in game but that's the gist of it)
