I hate it when people write in brackets in the log community... because when the descriptions and the character's thoughts are all written [like this] it kills my eyes trying to read it. One or two lines like you see in network threads is fine, but an entire paragraph [like this] is too damn small!

And I don't want to press "ctrl+" because then everything else it too big. Because I'm petty. Boo. :(

i have never understood why people think it's "easier" to use action tags for the log comm. to me it's just more html to deal with that can be easily avoided if you write in prose.

even more when people write GREAT BIG WALLS OF TEXT in this format. how the fuck is action easier when you're still writing so goddamn much?

If you write exclusively in actionspam in the logs community, I will not tag you. The same people hit me up every single CR meme and every time I tell them that actionspam really isn't my thing and I get some variation of "I understand. Maybe we can do something later." in response. And next CR meme, sure enough, they're hitting me up again with new ideas and links to open posts done in actionspam. Do they seriously not understand this? I don't have a problem with your ideas for CR. I don't want CR with you at all and it's because you post in nothing but actionspam. I don't want to deal with that shit.

While I generally don't mind other characters interacting on my posts/logs, I find it really annoying when they backtag into forever and I can barely get CR with them in the game. MAKE YOUR OWN LOG AND STOP CLOGGING MY EMAIL. I'd like to have my own tags to answer in my inbox.

You could PM them and ask them to take it somewhere else, like to an ic contact post or something? With the reasoning that getting notifs from their thread is crowding your inbox?

Are you still tagging the post? If not, go in and edit and select the option to not send comment notifications for that post only.

If you are and have a paid, track the threads you are commenting on and then turn the rest off.

If you are still tagging it and don't have a paid, then PM them.

you don't have to disable notifs entirely. you can just disable them for the log post by editing it and picking the "don't e-mail" option.

or if you'd rather not do that, maybe set up a filter in your e-mail account or program to shit-can any notifs that don't have anything to do with you or your characters.

if the post was supposed to be about your character and they're derailing that, i'd try pming them and asking them politely to please take it to a new log set up for their characters. if they're continuing to backtag this far, i think it would make more sense for them to put up a new post for themselves with a link to the existing thread in your log for reference.

STOP. ASSUMING MY CHARACTER IS 7 YEARS OLD. Yes, the art style makes her look younger than she is, but jfc I go out of my way to point out how old she is all the time, and yet everyone just goes right to acting as though she's a little kid.

I mean I can understand an honest mistake, but come on. This is starting to get ridiculous.

Maybe you could try having the character react to it ICly? Like "Okay, I know I might look a little young but I'm [age], you know!" Or something like that?

I get that all the time because my characters have been in game for so long and people still believe they're in their teens when I've OOC mentioned they're in their twenties.

i don't get asspained about dropped tags but this really grinds my gears. to the point that i want to start wank about the game.

at last taking someone's hint how they don't want cr with you when you fucking finally realize they keep dropping your threads every time when they're able to boomerang tag up to +35 comments with other players.

Players who constantly use the 'accidental post' idea to get CR outside of their casts.

And to clarify, these people are literally just relying on these posts to get outside CR. They don't tag out.

I hate accidental posts to start with. Seriously, if your character is going to be doing something potentially embarrassing, why wouldn't they leave the recording device in another room?

stop bitching about being "bored" and having "no tags" when there's 10+ posts on the comm you can reply to and get tags. if there are, like, three muns of them in your plurk talking about it and there to tag, but you're just whining about "i tag out all the time!"

when you can look at the network and see you don't, you just replurk your post 100 times because people are required to respond to the totally amazing thing you thought up and you shouldn't be forced to use one fucking cell of your brain in order to reply to something else?

yeah, fuck that. i'm not tagging you. you're not entitled to have the entire game tagging your uninteresting post for 500+ comments because you can't be arsed to tag anyone else. you're just whining and want attention.

Since we're probably seeing this a lot today, when characters who likely don't have X holiday talk about celebrating X holiday in a setting that definitely doesn't have X holiday.

when people post entirely action posts to the network comm because it gets more traffic than the one for logs. jfc things are organized for a REASON and you are only exacerbating the problem.

So fucking done with players that infomod because god forbid their character not magically ~know~ that something is ~off~.

A game mate and I want to have our hero/villain characters do a body switch, and we're going to wait for a month before telling the rest of the game. That way, any IC reactions to things ~not being right~ can be motivated by actual IC observations rather than this obsessive OOC need to never have your character be wrong.

look, i get everyone gets has seasonal or hormonal blues or gets stressed out, whatever. i don't know if half the game is on their collective, creepy dwrp synchronized periods right now or something but god damn if i read one more plurk or comment that involves someone crying and whining about how they DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOOOO IN THE GAAAAAAAME and they're SO UNINSPIREEEEDDD and and a-a-and they're too shy and should just drop and they're worthless and tag too slow and they're just awful at everything and they're so sorry!!!

stop beating yourself up. stop worrying about inconsequential bullshit. stop worrying about your inbox, stop worrying about tagging speed, stop worrying about stepping on someone's toes, stop being so meek and passive and afraid to talk out your gripes and hope all your problems magically fix themselves. because if you don't i'm going to stop caring and stop trying to console you and reassure you. i throw suggestion after fucking suggestion at you and you do jack shit with it.

I wish there were games that weren't either horror or slice of life. I'd really like to play in a game that had an ongoing metaplot and wasn't slice of life, but wasn't horror.

I hate it when castmates who are never around whine about being "left out" by the rest of the cast. I'm sorry, if you're so absent that half the cast responds with "we have an X?" when you're mentioned, and you flake out of everything anyone plots with you, it's pretty fucking unreasonable to expect us to track you down and hand-hold you through another plotting session you won't even bother to follow up on.

On the flipside of the anon that is so tenderly topping me, when you're around as much as the others and constantly trying to get everyone together to plot together and keeping up with the rest of the cast, it's kind of balls when they use your character as a plot device rather than an actual part of the plot. Hearing "this happened, sucks for your character lol!" was funny maybe the first time, but after a year of this bullshit, I'm pretty fucking fed up. It'd be nice to be involved in the plot, rather than being told that X plot will affect my character in Y way, have fun playing that.
