on the one hand, homestuck fans are more annoying in general, but on the other hand, i haven't heard about homestuck rpers talking loudly and proudly about their porn games on the something awful forums.

Probably because the Homestuck thread on SA isn't what the entire fandom is reading because it's the only english source of the canon.
People have been banned for being creepy about Homestuck/posting their Homestuck porn/talking about their weird Homestuck tumblr rp blog.
