I used to run in fandom circles that treated all m/m and m/m shippers as misogynist trash and it's hard to shake the feeling that I'm sidelining women or fetishising gay men by playing gay/bi dudes exclusively.
The internet doesn't know a fucking thing about social rights and what is/is not objectification. Play what you want to play because you want to play it. You need no better reason than that.
The appropriate response to idiots telling you you're fetishising your own sexuality is to laugh until your stomach hurts. You'll feel much better, just as soon as the cramping stops.
