It is really fucking hard to get good CR in this game.

Like, if I'm in a game, I should be able to open up my reading list, tag something, and get a thread out of it. Here, unless you've plotted extensively OOC with someone, you'll get thread dropped like two comments in, if you get a reply at all.

that hasn't been my experience. most of my best cr has been more extemporaneous and the things i've pre-plotted drag for-fucking-ever.

the cr meme has been good for me just in terms of getting to know who is open to threading with my characters, then i follow through with it by tagging into their open posts or making open posts of my own.

Mine's been more about giving the other person's threads and posts a good scan before plotting or jumping in because more than once I've been hit up by or approached people myself for threads only to find out on first tag that these aren't the kind of people I would thread with elsewhere.

Boring, shit tier, tag after tag of pointless chit-chat; smut threads can take a hell of a lot of time and work, especially the good ones, and while I know it makes me a grade-A dickhead, I'm going to drop crap tags in favor of not-crap tags. In a regular game, eh, you deal with boring and one-note conversations and logs all the time, but they go quicker and mean less.

When you've got the third or fourth person tagging into your log that's just waiting for something to happen to them or pulling out the scripted "Oh nooooooo" responses, you're going to start to prioritize. This isn't the whole game of course, but it's enough for me to watch when and whom I tag.

Are you sure that you're interesting/giving people things to work with?

I'm dead serious here, not being a jackass, or at least, not on purpose.

I'm fairly new and haven't had any problems with thread-dropping and everyone's always been very excited to post with me. I don't get the DELUGE of responses to my character it seems like a lot of people do, but I've had very steady, very good smut and CR since joining.

I'd think it might have something to do with the character or the canon, but I have had the same response to out-of-canon interactions where I just randomly picked some people to tag.

Has anyone else felt like the app standards have really gone downhill lately? Some of the characters they've let in don't sound anything like their actual canon counterparts.

They truly suck. And the game mods either don't care or are a couple of fucking pussies and don't want to rock the boat by kicking them off the app team. I'm sure we'll get some bullshit about how no one else is volunteering for the job. If no one good steps up to help then judge the apps yourself. This is not brain surgery.

You can only claim that it's not Mara and Sylvia's fault for so long. At this point everything that's happening with the app mods is their fault because they're letting it happen.

Am I the only one tired of the sameness of the posts lately? If I read one more 'has anyone actually gotten their powers back' themed post I will slip into a coma. Is it that hard to have your character come up with something to do? Could you get CR by maybe tagging into the seven other people who have asked the same question just before you?
