ok, i'm going to say what a lot of anons are thinking. you have to admit it's kinda questionable. she starts getting harassed just in time to distract everyone from the fit she threw and turn herself into a victim who no one can speak bad of without responses like this, and she can conveniently blame the new mods that she's jealous of for not doing anything to stop it (never mind that there is no way to stop that sort of thing)? and on top of that, she didn't seem to do anything to stop it either, when all she'd need to do is turn off anon after the first message? and don't get all 'ooh victim-blaming' on me. that's a super basic thing to do and i have no idea why she wouldn't if she's getting things like that.
if it's happening, that's terrible, and i'm not saying otherwise. But i'm sure i'm not the only person who's bullshit sense is tingling a little.
she got them in the past, turned off anon, and they stopped. she explained why she didn't come forward about them. she turned anon back on again, it happened again just when she opened her mouth about the game and she came forward. she's not still getting the pictures because she turned IP addresses back on to try to catch this person.
where did she blame the mods? she spoke directly to one of the mods and told them she was turning on IP caching and if she caught anything she would send it to them.
Probably for this exact reason. Because assholes would have told her she's a lying whore and at the time she couldn't even go to the mods because she was on the modteam.
Wait, what? She couldn't go to the mods because she was on the modteam? That doesn't make any sense, that's all the more reason to sit the other mods down, have a chat, and do whatever it is she thinks the current mods should be doing. I'm kind of confused here.
That wasn't phrased well, my bad. I have no idea if she went to the other mods privately. I just meant she probably didn't come out to say it publicly because she was on the modteam that was being told to step down and it probably would have just led to accusations of lying and whining that she was being told to leave and making herself the victim.
She did step down though. And the moment she voiced an opinion, even if it was a whiny one, it started up again because apparently her stepping down wasn't enough until she was forced to leave the game for her mental well being.
Sorry, but that's pretty fucked up. When she's not a mod anymore, and the majority of people disagree with her opinion anyway, and it's up to the new mods to look at the poll and make decisions... just ignore her. Someone's seriously got a personal grudge here and it's fucking gross.
That makes more sense. And yeah, it is pretty fucked up. I think most people were just ignoring her, or expressing their disagreement more or less calmly. That's what I saw, anyway. It just takes one psycho to make things terrible, though. In this case, leaving the game is probably best for her, since a crazy asshole with a personal grudge who does everything anon isn't something that's easy to catch or stop. It sucks, but that's how it is.
You do realize all it takes is one triggering image to fuck you up for a good few days, right? Turning off anon after receiving things like that is logical, yes, but you're missing the whole fucking point in the issue which is that it's happening in the first place and that's not excusable.
If you need to put in the disclaimer 'don't get all ooh victim-blaming on me' then you do in fact realize you are victim blaming. way to be a fucking asshole.
She could be the most annoying person in DWRP and it's still wrong to terrorize somebody like that.
