it's hard to mix the two up, they really only share names, positions and basic coloring. at least g1 ratchet didn't make a habit of sasstalking everyone on the team, bossing them around, being mildly xenophobic with a pronounced dislike of earth with the general feeling of he's only here because he has to be because Optimus is here.
